Hi, I’m Jon.
I’ve been interested in technology my whole life, but sound is where I discovered my absolute passion. Over the past ten years, I’ve focused on creating the “Perfect Workflow” for audio — minimizing the time spent fumbling with file naming, export settings, and asset tracking so I can spend more time recording or designing sound. I get a real kick out of writing tools or scripts that save time every time they run.
That passion has carried into my work. At OtherSide Entertainment, I built audio systems for Thick As Thieves and created custom tools for things like diffraction and file tracking. At Piranha Games, I designed sounds for MechWarrior and developed workflow automation tools that streamlined the audio team's file-naming.
Recently, I’ve been diving into machine learning. I see a great deal of potential for audio tools that weren’t previously possible. Learning to program has already been huge for my sound career, and I see training machines as the next step — both for building better tools and for understanding the bigger picture of how AI technology impacts us.
